SLOVAKIA - Walking-Hiking Tours (map) Please browse through our trip
descriptions. While they do not describe
specific itineraries, they will highlight
for you the variety of sights and activities
we offer to our clients. Hungary-Slovakia-Poland Besides the obvious urban highlights found in the ancient and enduring cities of Budapest (with its Danube) and Krakow, you will discover that in between these two cities lies a landscape and people of great variety, charm and grace. The hiking possibilities here will immerse the traveller in the natural beauty of Slovakia's timeless landscapes. The alpine hikes in the Tatra mountains will get your heart going, not just as the result of excercise but equally as the result of beholding the surrounding mountain beauty. Experience the Tatra's as the locals do - by spending at least one night high in the mountains in alpine lodging. Then, there is Slovensky Raj - translation - Slovak Paradise. This piece of nature boasts cascading waterfalls and beautiful forests, and is many people's favourite. No visit to Slovakia is complete without walking among the eastern hills toward the haunting, empty remains of Spissky Hrad, an enormous 13th century fortress. Spend the night near this fortress, in Levoca, a town that has maintained its Renaissance character. Finally we reach Krakow in Poland. The centre of this medieval royal city was unharmed by the wars of the 20th century, and its ancient heart still beats in its central square, full of splendid architecture, history and culture.
